Accessibility Statement

Pop's Birding wants every hummingbird lover to be able to shop, learn and get help on PopsBirding.com, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive tools.

Our goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make websites easier to use for people with disabilities.

What we've done

  • Product photos and other meaningful images have text descriptions.
  • Text and buttons use colors with readable contrast.
  • Pages use clear headings so they're easy to scan and navigate with a screen reader.
  • Buttons and links have clear labels.
  • Videos play muted and don't carry information you can only get by listening.
  • The site works on phones, tablets and computers, and with browser zoom.
  • We check pages for accessibility when we make design updates.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is ongoing work, and some parts of our site come from outside providers, such as product reviews, checkout and social media feeds. We work with those providers and choose settings that keep their features as accessible as we can.
