Clean your feeder regularly and provide fresh nectar every 1-2 days to ensure you are providing an area worth being territorial over. Choose a location for your swing / feeder that is well protected from the elements, with easy access to guard and retreat as needed. Above all else, give it time. It may take your hummingbirds an entire season to discover the swing, especially if introduced mid-season.
